Lucy McRae: How can technology transform the human body?
TED Fellow Lucy McRae is a body architect — she imagines ways to merge biology and technology in our own bodies. In this visually stunning talk, she shows her work, from clothes that recreate the body's insides for a music video with pop-star Robyn, to a pill that, when swallowed, lets you sweat perfume.

Suzanne Lee: Grow your own clothes
Designer Suzanne Lee shares her experiments in growing a kombucha-based material that can be used like fabric or vegetable leather to make clothing. The process is fascinating, the results are beautiful (though there's still one minor drawback ...) and the potential is simply stunning.
Jessi Arrington: Wearing nothing new
Designer Jessi Arrington packed nothing for TEDActive but 7 pairs of undies, buying the rest of her clothes in thrift stores around LA. It's a meditation on conscious consumption — wrapped in a rainbow of color and creativity.

Rica's Graduation Shoot Dress
Im starting to enjoy draping so much, that i have created another dress. The challenge with this dress is, there were no cuts along the seam lines. I folded one continuous fabric to create this dress.

Fashion Illustration - Men in Migration
We had to do some final folio for the Final project in our advanced clothing production class. Part of the requirement was an illustration of the collection we did. It has been two years since our last illustrations class, so i really know my illustration skills are already rusty... but here are the fashion illustration studies that i did for my final collection. eventually, i had to do some adjustments to my collection after taking some suggestions from my block mates and my professor. hahahahaha~ im sorry, i really find my work funny. lol. needs improvement. i gotta practice more now..

My love for draping
These are some draping projects i had for school and we need to shoot it for class. so yea. (^_^) uhm, my model had to cancel last minute so my makeup artist, Janina had to shoot it. haha! (^_^) my dress still looked pretty on a petite model (janina is just 5'0"). kudos to my two great photographer friends mabel dizon and aaron abadilla. this is my second time to work with them, and i really love their shots everytime. (^_^) i really love shooting in UP. for me, i think UP is best because youll never run out of new places to shoot clothes. the season changes its landscape everytime, and new buildings, facade, roads and venues provide you a limitless possibility. so there, here below are just some of the photos from the shoot. MIRAGE - lifestyle catalogue
So my summer class is finally over. Im a bit upset, maybe because i really enjoyed the class. And partly because i dont get to design and sew clothes anymore. But im looking forward to my new classes. I have draping, and i have advanced clothing production. I wish i learn a lot. I heard one of the faculty is back, and i heard that she is really good. Im excited. Below are some of the clothes i designed. Since the summer class was a production class, we get to manage our classmates as our employees, and they did the sewing. Ill try to post some of the clothes i constructed for the other groups, since i too was required to be an employee for them, for now, ill share with you the photos i took and sorta edited. lol. pardon my abysmal skill in photoshop, perhaps thats one of the reasons why i didnt enroll in viscomm or mma. lol. Enjoy the photos. lemme know what you think about my designs. (^_^)
I found this really cool video of a guy teaching how to distress denim on youtube. So i did it on the jeans i designed for my class. Youll see me wearing it in one of the photos above. haha~ Below is the video im talking about. :P It features Denim Guru Paul Dillinger of Martin +Osa. Its a really cool video. It shows you how exactly to distress your jeans and do all sorts of technique to make it look worn out. Watch the video below:
Another video i watched was that of a girl bleaching denim. This i also did with my designed jeans for my summer class. (^_^) Watch the video below:
Go ahead and do your own distressing and bleaching! (^_^) Dont forget to show me how your jeans turned out. (^_^)

Johanna Blakley: Lessons from fashion's free culture
Copyright law's grip on film, music and software barely touches the fashion industry ... and fashion benefits in both innovation and sales, says Johanna Blakley. In her talk, she talks about what all creative industries can learn from fashion's free culture.
